It is year zero. At this point (and presumably for the next two decades) not much is expected of you outside of learning to behave. However, this is when the government will issue a few documents crucial to confirming your identity now and forever. Having a provable identity is fundamental for holding any account or asset for commerce in the United States. Key among these are financial accounts, job eligibility, and using government services (including roads). It is you and your caretakers’ responsibility to keep track of these documents and understand what they are for, how to use them, keep them safe/accessible, and replace them if necessary.
